Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets agrees to acquire CEZ Group assets in Romania

Happy and proud to have assisted Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (MIRA) on this landmark transaction for the Romanian energy market.

Costin Taracila, Managing Partner: “We are proud to have advised MIRA on the acquisition of a portfolio of Romanian power assets owned by ČEZ Group, which certainly is the largest M&A deal in Romania in the last decade. It is the fifth M&A deal signed by our incredible M&A team in the last 7 days and we are working on another 10 M&A deals which will be signed in the near future. This is testimony to RTPR’s wide expertise in advising on the largest and most complex deals and reconfirms our position as a leading transactional firm in Romania. I would like to congratulate and thank all our colleagues who worked on this deal for their involvement and hard work.”

The project team included Costin Taracila, Bogdan Cordos (general coordination and due diligence), Victor Rusu (corporate), Cosmin Tilea (finance), Roxana Ionescu (competition), Andrei Mihul (transaction documents), Alexandru Retevoescu, Alexandru Stanoiu, Bianca Eremia, Vicu Buzac, Evelin Grigore, Miruna Enache, Petru Ursache, Cristi Porojanu, Andreea Stoiciu, Cezara Urzica, Codrina Simionescu, Laura Costea and Gabriel Ghitica.
