Ana Popa has over a decade of experience in litigation and arbitration, acting in complex and high value disputes across energy, insurance, technology, tax, IP and employment law. She regularly assists both multinational corporations and leading domestic companies in sensitive cases, from multimillion-euro commercial disputes to cross-border reorganisations and IP claims. She recently secured a EUR 5 million final award for Premier Energy SA (the former CEZ Vanzare SA) in a high-profile dispute over the failure to deliver electricity, where the counterparty raised the hardship theory in the context of the post COVID energy crisis and soaring prices. Ana was part of the team that successfully represented Zurich Insurance in a EUR 40 million claim directors’ liability insurance claim, arising from a sophisticated online fraud against the policyholder. Ana is mentioned in Legal 500 2025 for the Intellectual Property area and recommended as a Leading Associate for the Dispute Resolution section.
Andrada Rusan is focusing her dispute resolution practice mainly on competition, unfair competition and intellectual property cases. Andrada is a litigator with a robust corporate background: she provides full-path legal assistance in these fields, also representing clients in investigations of the competition authority and proceedings before the IP authority. She has prominent expertise in cases with an EU law dimension and particularly, involving referrals to the European Court of Justice. Andrada represented Zenith Media Communications in a competition dispute in which the RTPR team obtained a historic victory at the Court of Justice of the European Union, thus contributing to the creation of EU law through a win regarding the principles of how the fines applied by the competition authorities in all Member States are calculated. In another mandate, she successfully represented Groupama Asigurari in a series of antitrust litigations against the competition authority obtaining the reduction of a nearly EUR 8 million fine for an alleged concerted practice through information exchange to below EUR 500,000, upon dismissal of the last extraordinary appeal. Legal 500 2025 recommends Andrada as a Leading Associate in the Dispute Resolution and Intellectual Property areas.
